Rehearsals done

Got the set nailed into place a couple of days ago…well, sets really as we’re not exactly sure how long we’re playing each night. Cardinal rule number one for support bands: NEVER go over your allotted time. It’s incredibly fucking annoying for the headline band and crew and if the Tour Manager is on the ball he’ll kick you up the arse until you learn to tell time properly.
It’s a good set and flows nicely. Looking forward to getting it on stage. Strange playing the I.C.O.N stuff on the tiddly kit, but it sounds great – same Saturn drums as the black kit. To be honest, though I love double bass and will always opt for it if possible, these Duallist pedals are so smooth you can’t tell the difference between a double pedal and two bass drums.

So we’re set to go. Hit the ferry on Sunday and then  bumble down to Stuttgart on the first day, on to Bratislava the next day ready for the show at the Majestic Music Club on 1 December. Revved up and ready to go.

I also can’t wait to see the rest of Europe have the same struggle I have in understanding exactly what these Lancashire blokes are talking about half the time. “I’ve not got out fort do…there be trouble at t’mill!”
